THW-Federal Youth winners visited Tunisia
Last week, young THW-volunteers from Kulmbach took part in events connected with the World Day of Civil Protection in Tunisia. The trip for the winners of the Federal Youth Competition 2010, included a tribute to Mr Frank Schulze for his merits for civil protection.

During the trip, the young people had the opportunity to get to know the country. Among others, they visited the cities of Tunis, Hammamet, Kairouan, Tozeur, the ruins of Cartago and the oasis of Douz. A particular joy was a ride on dromedaries.
Besides the participation in the World Day of Civil Protection (1st March) in Hammamet, another highlight of the trip was a joint exercise with volunteers from Tunisian civil protection in Ben Arous on 29 February.
For the representatives of THW’s youth groups, the participation in the World Day of Civil Protection in Tunisia has become a tradition. Since 1998, young THW volunteers have been yearly invited to Tunisia by Tunisian civil protection.
